5 Ways to Build a Caring Neighborhood
- Take walks through your neighborhood and chat with people who are outside.
- Identify a neighbor that your child can go to if he’s locked out of the house or needs help.
- Set up a neighborhood garage sale or barbecue. Encourage others to participate by inviting them personally.
- Get to know the kids in the neighborhood. They are great resources when you need a babysitter, someone to walk your dog, water your plants, or mow your grass.
- Stop at the lemonade stands, even when the lemonade is sour and was made by grubby little hands.
