5 Ways to Build Community Values Youth
- When a young person waits on you at a fast food restaurant or store, greet them in a friendly manner.
- Ask a young person to help you with a skill or hobby that YOU are good at so he or she can learn your skill or hobby, too.
- Ask a young person to teach you a skill that he or she is good at so you can learn something new.
- Encourage youth to get involved in community service… better yet, serve the community together.
- Let young people know that who they are and the things they do make a difference. Find ways to empower them and let them shine.
